I’m Russ - creator, copslayer maker, and fan at heart.
The CosForge has become more than i ever imagined, It’s a reflection of the worlds that shaped me, the epic sagas, unforgettable characters, and the spirit of creativity that drives the cosplay and fan community.

I’ve always been drawn to the craftsmanship behind great design. What started as late nights tinkering and building for fun turned into something I couldn’t ignore - a calling to create pieces that help others bring their favorite worlds to life.

I run The CosForge because I believe in quality, in details that matter, and in making gear that fans can be proud of. Every piece is something I’d wear, use, or display myself - because I’m not just the maker. I’m one of you.

Where it began

HUMBLE BEGINNINGS, CLEAR VISION

The CosForge started in the most fitting place for any maker - a garage filled with ideas, a single 3D printer, and a conservatory turned workshop, that reeked of spray paint and ambition.

Back then, it was just me, a love for sci-fi and fantasy, and the drive to bring characters and concepts to life through tangible gear. Each piece was a personal project, a passion built layer by layer.

Since then, the tools have grown more sophisticated, the range of products has expanded, and the community around The CosForge has only gotten stronger. But that original vision still guides everything I do, To craft standout cosplay and display pieces that fans around the world are proud to own.

Where we are

FORGING MY OWN PATH

After building a loyal following on Etsy, I made the decision to take full ownership of The Cosforge brand. It wasn’t just about setting up a store, it was about creating a home for fans who crave quality and authenticity.

Etsy was where I got started, but it quickly became clear that the platform wasn’t built for creators like me. Their stringent policies shifted to not allow the sale of cosplay props, you won’t find them there anymore! I didn’t want to compromise on the product I delivered, and felt the rulings made by Etsy were stifling the growth of the cosforge, denying what the fans wanted.

Moving to my own site gave me the freedom to grow, to refine the experience for fans, and to build a space that reflects the spirit of cosplay without limitations. This isn’t just a shop - it’s a forge for something bigger.
